Kum & Go was ranked as the 24th-largest convenience store chain in the United States by Convenience Store News in 2019.

"Rude workers. Coffee either empty or cold. Like the extras, they have for the coffee. Gas has given us trouble before. They are building a new one hope they get it together."

"The location I'm working at is tailored to women and whatever their issues come to be. I'd have issues working Friday evenings alone cause it's our busiest day, we get a truck that your responsible for working. Issues with co workers that'll only get worse when you try to explain the situation cause you're a male and the co worker you're having issues with is a female. One of my co workers asked for a private way of contacting me so she could hook me up with one of her friends. Then she started calling me at 1-3 in the morning after I got done working from 2-10. But when I messaged her on our branch application asking if she had a moment to talk cause I got sick mid shift, she ignored me and then went right to management. She didnt even ask me to not text her over branch that late. We both work overnights I need to know time sensitive information like when I need to replace donuts and I cant even do that now. I gotta pass notes like I'm back in high school."

"new district manager hired a personal best friend for general manager replaced a very good general manager was retaliated on for reporting things to human resources that certain co-workers were being allowed to do that they should have been fired for because of reporting these things was called a liar by district manager after i was fired in retaliation with lies used as reason was denied unemployment after being fired in retaliation with lies as excuse to fire me"

"They really don’t care about the employees they just want you there to get everything they can out of you Management is only for there selfs no one else they don’t care if you are sick they want you there for at least half of your shift then they let you go home i would never work there again"

"I worked at many stores from branch and the only store I couldn’t stand, besides the store I was stationed at, was 2nd Ave in Des Moines. The general manager bullied his employees into submission. He sat on his a@@ most of the day barking orders from his office. My experience with him showed he only worked the cash register a few minutes a shift. P@@@ poor management out of two stores that I worked. One other item is the lacking is the ability of management to show up as schedule and on time. Management would put done 5am on schedule and stroll in at 7am. His employees took after him and his assistant."

"I worked at kum&go for 3 years and the GM in all 3 kum&go are Terrible to work for. They act so nice but they aren't at all. They talk about you to other employees and they are very disrespectful to you. The only time they are nice to you or let you get away with everything is if you are secretly dating a married GM. Worst job ever!! You can never make them happy at all!"

"This company say one thing and do another. No integrity. Whatsoever. This is GM's and higher. Pay is basic but high expectations. 10 hour shifts, no breaks (overnights), but advised to close the store for 15 minutes if a break is wanted. Hired full time, 5 months didn't earn even a half day holiday! This company opened my eyes when finding a new job."

"The GM acts like it is high school, and she's pushing 50. She promises associates positions and then will tell them they don't have enough it, and that it's out of her hands. She's so rude and obnoxious to the customers.No breaks."

"The people I worked with were rude and hateful. I don't like when people come into work with an attitude because it throws the whole day to a bad day. Everyone was rude and were snobby towards the customers."

"Worst job I have EVER worked. Everybody talks about everybody else, especially the management. corporate policy says family or husband and wife cannot work in the same store together they do not follow that policy, husband and wife work together one is management of the whole store but the wife runs everything and she's only a sales associate. This goes for more than one stores also."

"You can come to work late everyday, doesn't matter. But if you forget to ask the customer if they have a rewards card and they are a secret shopper you get fired after two times."

"The job seems easy enough, but the customers are definitely the worst part of the job and can make for a terrible day. The stores are over-run with homeless and thieves that just loiter all hours of day and night. The company is unable to provide a health insurance at an affordable rate to wages earned. The safety of employees especially on over-night shifts is of no concern. Stores are so lightly staffed even in busy hours that the work needed to run a busy store is never achieved. The best part of every day is leaving."
